DIE LUSTIGEN STEINJAEGER

As a local chapter of Stein Collectors International (SCI), Die Lustigen Steinjäger von Wisconsin has been in existence since 1973. Over the years the club has hosted three international conventions and two mini conventions. The club participates in the cultural tents of Germanfest in Milwaukee each year. Our members come from Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois. Our membership consists of right around 50 persons, ranging in age from twenties to eighties. We are a diverse group of collectors who not only collect beer steins, but items related to beer steins and many other collections in between. We hold meetings three to four times a year. We also collaborate with our sister Chapter, the Meister Steiners, to hold meetings in opposite months. That way members who live close enough can attend either Chapter’s Meetings. Meetings are held in restaurants or members homes. We have speakers at each meeting as well as time for show and tell and buy and sell.
